eCHOing methodology on project implementation for the Cultural Sector

For the past two years, eCHOing has been implementing innovative methodologies to foster partnerships between Universities and the GLAM sector. Our vibrant community of partners and associates is now thrilled to present their experiences and  essons learned after two years of hard work. We would like to extend an invitation and welcome you to this event and share the programme of the day here.

On 17 April 2024, the closing conference of the European eCHOing project organized by the Mixed Reality group of the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence will be held in the Historic Aula Magna of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

The Recovery of cultural heritage through higher education-driven open innovation (eCHOing) project financed under the Erasmus+ programme, sees an international collaboration between the School, the Norwegian University Of Sciences And Technology, the University of Sofia (Bulgaria), l TARTU University (Estonia) and OSYGY & Web2Learn (Greece).

In the two years of project activity, Open Innovation strategies applied to Cultural Centers were analyzed and developed to counter the political, social, ethical and cultural crisis due to the Covid-19 emergency through the updating of educational tools and the design of methods innovative and sustainable teaching methods within a socially responsible culture.

The Tuscan museums that have joined the initiative are the National Museum of San Matteo and Palazzo Lanfranchi in Pisa and the Leonardiano Museum in Vinci. These places were training ground for the students who were able to visit and work in collaboration with the cultural centers participating in the project.

The conference, open to the public both in person and online, will be attended by partners who will report on the activities developed over the two years of the project. The analytical results of the Open Innovation policies implemented during this study period will also be presented.
