This is the second award that Annalisa Meucci has received for her studies on the iris pallida. Last year, in fact, she had already received a similar award for an oral presentation on the application of in vitro culture techniques to the conservation of Iris germplasm (read the news here).

Dr. Meucci's doctoral project, under the supervision of Prof. Anna Mensuali, is part of an ongoing scientific collaboration between the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, the University of Pisa, the CNR and the French LMR industry, the aim of which is the study and valorisation of Iris pallida cultivation for the production of essences of great interest to the perfume industry.
